The Fayette County Family YMCA has a staff of qualified trainers eager to help you meet your fitness objectives, whatever they may be. Our Fitness Director, Eric Gerber, will design a program just for you that focuses on your unique goals. You will get personal attention throughout each session to ensure you perform all exercises safely and effectively.

A one-time personal consultation is free to members. After the consultation, the following fees apply and are due prior to the start of a new or continuing package.

PERSONALTRAINING

Personal training services may require a physician referral form.

A 24-hour notice of cancellation is required; without talking with trainer 24 hours ahead of time the client will be charged for missed session.

Warmed-up and Ready to go is the expectation that you will be here and warmed-up prior to the beginning of the session. Hour sessions are 50minutes and 30 minute sessions will be 25 minutes of active training.

1/2 hour Personal Training Sessions

YMCA Members Only

The expectation is that you will be here and warmed-up prior to the beginning of the session.

Custom orientation program: Two – 1 hour sessions $53

12% Savings – members only

Fit-Start Plus Program

Custom orientation program with a couple extra sessions to guarantee you get the most out of your customized orientation.

GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING

A cost effective way to fitness instruction and accountability, so that you can get all of the benefits of personal training without the costs of one-on- one personal training.

≥3 participants are required to be considered small group personal training*.

3 participants = $10.00 per person

4 participants = $7.50 per person

5 participants = $6.00 per person

6-8 participants = $5.00 per person

*Two participants are considered a “couple” and share a session by splitting the session in two ½ sessions.

 

Specialty Group Personal Training

Exercise Is Medicine

Exercise is Medicine is a specialty personal training offered by the Fayette County Family YMCA that requires a referral from a medical professional (physician, physical therapist etc.) that outlines specific medical goals, recommendations and restrictions pertaining to gaining functional cardiovascular endurance, functional muscular strength & endurance, along with increasing functional range of motion. While this specialized personal training is not a substitution to proper medical care or physical therapy; with a medical referral we can work in conjunction with your physician or physical therapist to prepare you for a medical procedure or assist in your recovery beyond insurance covered services.

+ Exercise is Medicine is not physical therapy and cannot be billed to insurance and requires out-of-pocket fees. No physical therapy protocols are used, nor will any physical therapy modalities such as stim or ice or heat therapy etc. be used during these sessions. Only American College of Sport Medicine standards will be used during these sessions based upon the recommendations and restrictions dictated by the referring medical professional.

Exercise is Medicine participation requires a physician and/or another medical professional to provide a medical referral.

 

Brain & Balance Personal Training for Successful Aging

Brain & Balance Personal Training for Successful Aging is a specialty personal training program that not only focuses on physical strength, stamina and postural stability, but also brain health and fall prevention. 

*Brain & Balance Personal Training for Successful Aging is not physical therapy and cannot be billed to insurance. Brain & Balance Personal Training for Successful Aging requires a physician and/or physical therapist referral.

Other Specialty Personal Training: TRX Personal Training, Cave Man Training, FatBlaster Hybrid Program, Metabolic Resistance Training, and Couples Training.

Sports Conditioning Optimal Sports Performance Academy

Individual and team rates available. Check with the front desk for further information.

Under the direction of trainer, Aaron Luikart, athletes will utilize sport/position specific training to increase power, speed, endurance, and flexibility. Utilizing various modes of exercise, including utilizing Rogue fitness equipment, athletes will be grouped with others with similar goals.
