What is TRX Suspension Training?

In the simplest form, Suspension Training refers to the broad body of unique training movements, coaching cues and program principles that have been created and systemized by Fitness Anywhere. Elements of modern training philosophy known as Suspension Training have existed for hundreds of years in various forms. What makes Suspension training fundamentally unique as a modern exercise genre is the systematic collection of best practices, both old and new, which have been assembled, modified and formalized into a single coherent body with a cutting-edge training methodology built around the TRX Suspension Trainer.  These training movements are distinguished from traditional exercises in that either the user’s hands or feet are generally supported by a single anchor point while the opposite end of the body is in contact with the ground.

Coming Soon: TRX® Suspension Training in a small, large, or boot camp-style group format. We are currently attempting to raise funds to purchase 10 TRX Suspension Trainers for the Group Exercise Room. If you would like to donate towards this project or have an idea to help raise this money talk to Eric Gerber or Doug Saunders.

Cave Man Training

Caveman Training is a mix of traditional and novel strength and conditioning exercises; Caveman Training is prided on its simplicity as much as its intensity. When you add new school with old school, you produce fast and measurable results no matter whether you are seeking muscle mass and definition or looking to boost performance in a particular sport or activity. It takes the best of all training methods and puts them into a truly comprehensive routine that's goal-specific and takes your training to the next level.

Following are the most common exercises used in most Caveman workouts:

•  Tire flips

•  Sledgehammer swings

•  Pushing/pulling cars

•  Wheel barrow pushing/pulling

•  Heavy rope swinging

•  Heavy bag training (tossing, swinging, running with)

•  Sand bag training (traditional exercises + tossing and running)

•  Pull-ups

•  Box-jumps

•  Overhead press
